Question 1

Do I need a licensed appraiser for a divorce or estate settlement?

Accepted Answer

Courts, attorneys, and estate administrators typically require an opinion of value from a state-licensed or certified appraiser. A CMA from a real estate agent is not a substitute for a formal appraisal report when the value will be used in court, mediation, or probate.

What areas do you cover?

United Appraisal Services serves Utah County, Salt Lake County, Davis County, and Tooele County — including Saratoga Springs, Lehi, Provo, Orem, American Fork, Eagle Mountain, Salt Lake City, Sandy, Draper, Herriman, Bountiful, Layton, Tooele, and surrounding communities.
